A Week In Radness! Chicago Events 4/23 - 4/27

Start your week off late and on a Tuesday like me this week! I'll be clicking Play while we jam out to METAL PUNK TUESDAYS at Martini Club (4933 N. Milwaukee Ave. - Just minutes away from the Blue Line eL station) along with brother from a Pilsen mother Don Quijote. Possible special guests, definite deal on whiskey. Starts at 9pm so let's have a shot and hail Slayer til 2am!



Zombies vs. Skeletons has been raging for years and on Wednesday its my first time back since playing their jump-off event in the homebase, evilOlive (1551 W. Division St.)! Hosted bar from 10-11 and No Cover before 12am with an RSVP on Do312.com is always bound to make the night hazy and loud. Guest DJ sets by Hiroki, Zebo, & your's truly, plus residents Red Rum Rio, Le Fonz, & Kite to move the feet and bounce booties to the floor. Sleep is for the losers.



Thursday I'll be spinning a private party for Cage + Aquarium & CS Modern Luxury Magazine at The Merchandise Mart (222 Merchandisemart Plaza - Downtown Chicago) from 6pm until 8pm before heading to Jerry's in Wicker Park for C+A's weekly '93 TIL w DJ Limbs & DJ shAde Big Thanks to Shelley for her pic from last week's C+A event at Jerry's, #GuiltyPleasures where DJ Lecks & I spun 80's, 90's, & pop music that we love to hate!



Friday I'll be DJing at Blacklight Underground in Pilsen. Click the flier on the day-of this event to get the address. Goes late, costs $8 for 21+ crowd only & there is a shit-ton of DJs on the bill. Glow-in-the-dark body painting, Go-Go Girls n' Grunge, full bar. Music by Rob Threezy, Annihilist, Mr.Bobby, MicrodotGboy, So(Oh)Six, Misteries, We Are Your Friends, DJ Demchuk, & more.'Nuff said.



Saturdays brings us the 2nd in our on-going series of secret dance parties, MUCHO CULO II: Electric Boogaloo. Featuring DJ sets from Chicago's movers & shakers setting trends and inventing beats, check out Chrissy Murderbot (Planet Mu, Loose Squares) whose persistant releases of footwork, juke, jungle, and more reestablish modern sound and genre-breaking mixes. Also featured is Seapunk pioneer Ultrademon whose recent album release has the world buzzing on the blend of techno & 90s RnB. Monday on WNUR 89.3 fm DJ Sangre's welcomed Mucho Culo head PRANAS for a guest DJ set of Juke, Footwork, & Booty Bass in promo for Saturday's festivities (you can DL the mix here soon...), plus Custom Vibe's Fattboy, Select Inverse, & myself plus British Knights round out the bill with pics by Glitter Guts.
